Having beautiful succulents at home is a path full of joy, but sometimes we wonder if the container they have is already too small for them or if the soil has lost its strength.
It's not a matter of changing the substrate for the sake of changing it, but of listening to what the plant is asking of us through its roots and its overall appearance.
Many people think that for a succulent to grow happily it needs a giant pot, but the reality is that these plants are quite simple and prefer smaller spaces.
The most important thing is to find the perfect balance between the size of the container and the volume of the rosette so that the plant feels comfortable and secure.
Signs that it's time for a change
There are several clear indicators that tell us it's time to get to work. The most obvious sign is when the roots start to emerge from the drainage holes at the bottom; it's the plant's way of telling us it no longer has room to expand.
