Pando tree, the oldest living organism in the world

The pando is the heaviest plant organism in the world, with a collective weight of 6615 tons.
This root system is approximately 80.000 years old and reproduces asexually.
It is located on the Fish Lake Plateau, Utah, and occupies 43 hectares.
Pando flowers bloom rarely and only seeds near water survive.

Embora, when you see it in a picture, it may seem like there are many aspen specimens growing together; in reality, they all come from the same root system, which means they are all the same. This colony of clones occupies an area of 43 hectares and is made up of about 47.000 stems. The life expectancy of each of these stems is around 130 years.
